Pathway Christian Academy Students Visit Log Cabin Village
Our lower and middle school students visited the log cabin village
We saw how life was on the North Texas frontier during the 1840s through 1890s. It was during this time that active settlement and log cabin building occurred in this part of Texas.
The only structure on the site that is not authentic historic structure is the reproduction blacksmith shop. All of our other buildings (except the modern portalets) were built in the mid-19th century.
We entered a beautiful wooded area dotted by log structures where you can “escape the present and experience the past.” You had the opportunity to see every one of the historic structures. We also had the opportunity to explore the herb garden, play on the play ground and walk beautiful winding paths!
